Tidy Towns Support

Local authorities may support Tidy Towns groups through networking meetings, seminars, funding and environmental initiatives.

Tidy Towns Grant Scheme 2024

Applications are invited from Tidy Towns/Community Groups, under the above Scheme

for projects/works to be carried out in 2024, which will enhance the appearance of the

local area/village/town.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be a recognised Community/Tidy Towns Group involved in

activities to enhance and improve the appearance of the local area/village/town.

• All applicants must submit a one page Action Plan for their area.

• Grants will be awarded on the basis of the number of applications received,

the funding available and evidence of expenditure incurred.

Grant Qualifying Criteria:

• Registered with the Tipperary Public Participation Network (PPN Registration No.).

• Copy of current Bank Statement.

• Copy of Insurance Cover Certificate.

• Evidence of expenditure incurred, requested at a later date.

Closing date for completed applications is Friday 15th March, 2024.

Tidy Towns Grant Scheme 2025

In 2024, Tipperary County Council supported Tidy Town Associations, through the allocation of grants to 125 Tidy Town Groups, totalling €204,806.   

The Supervalu Tidy Town Competition received 80 entries from groups, within Tipperary in 2024.

Tipperary County Council would like to acknowledge the hard work of all entrants and thank them for the pride they have shown in their local areas.

Their great work is highly valued and the Council will continue to support these Groups into the future, throughout the county.

  • Recognised Community/Tidy Towns Groups involved in activities to enhance and improve the local area.
  • One page action plan to be submitted

Grant Size: €1,100 - €10,500

Match funding requirement (yes/no or %): No

Indicative timelines/dates: Allocated in April - Information for payment to be submitted by 31 October 18

What is Eligible: Tidy Town Committees

Grant Size: Depending on works to be carried out, number of applications received and budget available.

Indicative timelines/dates: Paid September/October

What is Eligible: Tidy Towns Groups in Nenagh MD

Grant Size: Varies based on number of applications received and works programme. Receipts must be submitted with claim.

Match funding requirement (yes/no or %): No

Indicative timelines/dates: Closing date normally March – grant paid following submission of receipts etc.
