Tipperary County Council is preparing a new Local Area Plan for Carrick-on-Suir, which will set out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes and can do so sustainably and successfully.
There are three stages to the Local Area Plan making process as follows:
Stage 1: Pre-Draft Stage – This stage is now complete and the details of this stage can be found here. The submissions received during the Pre-Draft Stage have informed the Draft Carrick-on-Suir Local Area Plan.
Stage 2: The Draft Local Area Plan – We’re currently at this stage. The Draft Local Area Plan for Carrick-on-Suir has been published and the public consultation period is open from Friday 25 October 2024 until 4pm on Monday 09 December 2024. Details can be found here.
Submissions or observations on the Draft LAP and the associated Environmental Report received before the submission deadline will be taken into consideration in the making of the new Local Area Plan.
Council Planning staff will be available to answer general queries and provide guidance on the Draft LAP on Wednesday 13th November 2024 (3pm to 7pm) at the Carrick-on Suir Library, Fair Green, Carrick-on-Suir, E32 X860.
