Clonmel Swimming Pool Set to Reopen Following Essential Maintenance Work

Temporary Closure of Clonmel Swimming Pool for Unplanned Essential Maintenance Work

Users of the Clare Glens River Walk Trail are advised that Limerick City & County Council will be undertaking the replacement of existing Footbridges within the Clare Glens Trail from Monday 26th August to Wednesday 16th October 2024.

Thurles Golf Club will commence work on Friday 9th August on felling the commercial forestry around "Ladies Well"
Ladies Well Walk will be closed on Wednesday, 14th, Thursday, 15th and Friday 16th August, 2024 at both entrances from the Mill Road and the N62.

A day of celebration was held on Saturday the 3rd August to mark 50 years of the outdoor pool at Ballina Riverside Pool.

The Tipperary Town Community Sports Hub are running activities in the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on St Michael’s Avenue, Tipperary Town.

Water Safety Ireland is cautioning people not to underestimate the dangers of swimming in cold
water. The caution comes as air temperatures rise however water temperatures are still cold.
Swimming in cold water can result in the rapid cooling of muscles needed to swim and stay afloat.
Swim within your depth, swim briefly and be mindful that any cooling of the muscles can make it more
difficult to swim safely.
