INTENTION TO CLOSE THE L-4021 EMMETT STREET AND THOMOND ROAD, THURLES,CO.TIPPERARY

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council proposes to make an Order closing:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED L-4201 Emmett Street and Thomond Road, Thurles, Co.Tipperary
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 00:00hrs on Saturday 6 July 2024 to 00:00hrs on Monday 8 July 2024.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Traffic travelling north on the N62 will be diverted to Liberty Square to join the N75 east and continue their journey

Traffic Travelling west on the N75 will be diverted into Liberty Square turning left onto the N62 and continue their journey.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate pedestrian access to Liberty Music Festival

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Thursday 13 June 2024 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie

Tipperary County Council is pleased to announce that GLAS Civil Engineering Ltd., has been appointed to carry out a road improvement scheme on the N74 Fr. Mathew Street, Tipperary Town.

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-2605-2 Mainstown- Grub Cross, Co.Tipperary.
From the 05 June 2024 to the 06 June 2024 for surface dressing works.
From 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs for the duration of the works.
Local access will be maintained and Diversions will be in place as the works progress

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-3261-0 Clonakenny Village, Clonakenny, Co.Tipperary.
From the 5 June 2024 to the 7 June 2024 for road upgrading works.
Works until 17.00hrs for the duration of the works.
Diversion will be in place. Local Access Only. Expect delays.

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-2411-0, Castlejohn, Co.Tipperary.
From 07.00hrs on Tuesday the 4th June 2024 to 19.00hrs on Wednesday 5th June for surface dressing works.
Local access will be maintained and diversions will be in place as the works progress.

From 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs on the 5 June 2024 for surface repair work.

From the 4 June 2024 to the 7 June 2024 for resurfacing works.
