Description:
The current LEADER/Rural Development Programme was due to expire on the 31st of December 2020. The Department of Rural and Community Development has announced the following measures in respect of this programme.
- The timeframe for Project approvals under the current scheme is now extended until the 31st of March 2021.
- Furthermore the Department have also announced a transitional LEADER programme to run from the 1st of April 2021 until the 31st of December 2022(this transitional arrangement may be extended subject to the relevant approvals). It is expected that the next European LEADER programme will commence in January 2023.
- The Project Budget associated with this transitional programme for the period of the 1st of April 2021 to the 31st of December 2021 is €688,971 this funding allocation is across the full County .
- The project budget for 2022 has not yet been confirmed.
