Section 11 of the Building Control Acts 1990 to 2014 grants powers of inspection by authorised persons (Building Control Officers) and facilitates the inspection of buildings to promote compliance with the Building Regulations.
In order to promote a culture of compliance with the Building Regulations, the document below has been created to raise awareness of common non-compliances encountered by Building Control Officers during inspections of dwellings / works to dwellings.
